Last Sunday was the first ever edition of the Eating in Berlin summer picnic. The weather didn’t look promising and I was really worried that everything would have to be cancelled due to rain. Luckily the rain god had mercy and the last drops vanished. We drove direction Mitte to Monbijoupark and spread our big blankets under a beautiful huge tree.
It was one amazing afternoon that brought random strangers together to celebrate life with tons of good food and cold drinks. We were totally spoiled by the renowned Bar Raval, who took care of us with a humongous pan of freshly cooked paella and San Miguel with liters of ice-cold beer. All afternoon was dedicated to lounging around, enjoying each others company and say hello to people you’ve just met by sharing a drink.
Thanks so much for everyone who swung by to say hi and applause to everyone who brought all the delicious goodies like red wine cake, fruit salad with honey vanilla yoghurt and other goodies to snack on. I hope to see you soon for even more food and inspiring conversations. It was a pleasure to be your host and I’m so happy everybody went home with a full stomach and good memories.
